Die Olympiade will wissenschaftlich interessierte und begabte Schu\u0308lerinnen und Schu\u0308ler f\u00f6rdern und ermutigen. Der nationale Wettbewerb fand bereits zum 27. Mal statt und wurde in drei Runden durchgefu\u0308hrt. In der ersten Runde setzen sich die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer mit theoretischen und praktischen Problemen auseinander. Von den zahlreichen Einsendungen auf nationaler Ebene schafften dieses Jahr 83 Jugendliche die erste Hu\u0308rde. Bewertet wird bei den praktischen Aufgaben die Korrektheit der Resultate fu\u0308r die Eingabedaten, sowie die Effizienz des Programms. In der theoretischen Richtung werden vorrangig die Kreativit\u00e4t und der Sinn fu\u0308r logisches Denken bei der Entwicklung des Algorithmus bewertet. Die erste Runde dient als Qualifikation fu\u0308r das Trainingscamp in Davos sowie fu\u0308r die zweite Runde. Bei dieser werden bei einem praktischen Online-Contest und einer theoretischen Pru\u0308fung die 12 Besten selektioniert, welche an der Finalrunde bei 4 Programmier-Pru\u0308fungen gegeneinander antreten. Nach den Pru\u0308fungen werden die Medaillen der nationalen Olympiade vergeben. Diese Runde ist zugleich die Selektion fu\u0308r die Internationale Informatik-Olympiade IOI. Die 29. IOI findet dieses Jahr vom 28.07.17.-04.08.17 in Teheran, Iran statt. Die SOI sowie auch die Teilnahme an der IOI sowie weiteren internationalen Wettbewerben werden vom Verein Swiss Olympiad in Informatics SOI in ehrenamtlicher Arbeit organisiert.
