On May 11th 2023, the SI welcomed both its members and non-SI members to this year’s Swiss IT Congress on electronic identity (E-ID) in Bern (sitem-insel building). We listened to our wonderful speakers and had fruitful discussions on how E-ID is developing in Switzerland. Special thanks to our speakers, Rolf Rauschenbach, Indukumar Vellapillil-Hari, Mag. Martin Nemec from the Federal Department of Finance of Austria, Prof. Dr. Annett Laube-Rosenpflanzer, Dr. Jörn Erbguth and Jonas Niestroj.
We learned a lot about what has already been done about E-ID in Switzerland and in other countries and about the challenges still ahead of us. We look forward to continuing shining a spotlight on E-ID in Switzerland, both with further events and our SI working group.
