In the last years Jana Koehler was a leading figure behind SGAICO and lead the group with a lot of engagement and enthusiasm. Starting in February, 2019, Jana will be acting as CEO at the DFKI, the German Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence. This is existing news and if you are interested in reading more about DFKI, you can find more information here. Of course, the SI community is extremely happy for Jana and we congratulate her on her appointment and thank her for her leadership of SGAICO over the years. We can be assured that she will serve the AI community as much as before and now from a highly visible position in Germany.
As a consequence of Jana’s promotion, she will no longer have an active role at SGAICO. The group will be now be coordinated by René Schumann as was decided at the last General Assembly; He will act ad interim for the creation phase of the jointed SI/D+S SGAICO of the Swiss Informatics society and the Data + Service Alliance. René Schumann is Professor at the HES-SO since 2012, where his research addresses the business process management in particular in the domain of e-Governement.
